Credits Mr. Spoons with Jerry Scott at legendary NY nightspot "American Trash" Mr. Spoons master spoon playing has been featured on WABC Radio NY in the 1970s, frequented off-Broadway clubs like American Trash, Danny's Sea Palace and Don't Tell Mama, in the 1980s and 1990s. He currently counts MTV host Carson Daly among his many fans. In a videotaped performance from legendary nightspot "American Trash", the television host can be seen in the background shouting "Play it, Spoons!". He later assisted Mr. Spoons with recommendations and contacts, which led to other televised performances, such as one on Fox Networks "Friends & Family". At a 2001 performance at Madison Square Garden, Mr. Spoons shared the bill with various acts, including hip-hop artist Mystikal. The rapper brought Mr. Spoons onstage with him, treating the audience to a one of a kind performance of Shake Ya Ass (Watch Yourself).
